Raylene Titus is the Data Officer for the Safety and Violence Initiative (SaVI) at the Centre for Social Science Research (CSSR). She provides data management and governance support for SaVI projects. She was previously the Junior Information Officer at the Adolescent Accelerators Research Hub, also part of the CSSR. She coordinates data management processes and systems which are compliant with POPIA/ GDPR regulations. Before joining the CSSR she worked as a research fellow for the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI) on adolescent health research and health services at the Desmond Tutu Health Foundation. Raylene has 15 years of experience in data management and worked in various departments at UCT focused on quality assurance and control, and data management systems.
