Lunchtime seminar: Rebecca Maughan-Brown
12:45 - 14:00 SAST
The Centre for Social Sciences Research (CSSR) and the Institute for Democracy, Citizenship and Public Policy in Africa (IDCPPA) at the University of Cape Town invite you to join us for a lunchtime seminar on 18 August 2026 at 12:45pm. The seminar will be presented by Rebecca Maughan-Brown.
About the Seminar:
Book Release: My Feelings Journal.
My Feelings Journal is a guided journal designed to help primary school-aged children develop emotional literacy, self-awareness and healthy daily habits that support emotional well-being. Blending reflection, creativity and mindfulness, this child-led book is a structured tool to help children navigate the ups and downs of their inner world, building the emotional vocabulary that research links to positive psychosocial and academic outcomes.
Released by Penguin Random House SA in June 2026, Rebecca will talk about the development of the book, its content, and the importance of supporting young people (and all people) to develop emotional literacy skills.
