Join us for the Study of Religions Seminar Series in conjunction with the African Centre for Religion, Ethics and Society Research Unit (ACRES).
Our next seminar Tackling Envy and Witchcraft Biblically: Differences Between the West and Africa presented by Dr Jim Harries takes place in-person on Wednesday, 11 September @ 13H00pm in the REL Seminar room, LS5.67 (Leslie Social Sciences Building, level 5) and will also be available via MS Teams for those who are unable to join in-person.
Dr Jim Harries (PhD Theology, University of Birmingham, UK) was called into long term missionary service in 1987. He has subsequently taught the Bible, oriented to indigenous churches, using the Luo and Swahili languages, in Kenya and Tanzania. Jim chairs the Alliance for Vulnerable Mission, is adjunct faculty at the William Carey International University in the USA and has published many articles (about 50 of them peer reviewed) and books.
