James Granelli

Communications & Marketing Officer

James is the communications and marketing officer at EHS. 

He recently completed his MPhil in Environmental Humanities at UCT as a fellow of the Critical Zones Africa project. His research focused on the multispecies, political, and social relations of endangered Strandveld at Princess Vlei. 

He has strong research interests in urban political ecology  science in the public realm, resource/ energy politics and multispecies justice. He is passionate about creating space for, and communicating, discourses of a just African environmentalism that seeks to 'call in' rather than 'call out'.

He previously completed both a BSocSci (Hons) in Anthropology and BSocSci in Environmental and Geographical Science & Anthropology at the University of Cape Town.
