This research project investigates the conditions required to generate a liveable Karoo landscape. The researcher has worked with livestock farmers in the Karoo region who identify their work as a kind of reclamation of what their foreparents decimated. In this research, she follows the arts of living on a damaged Karoo veld and the multispecies entanglements that allow this to happen in a context where life is constantly at stake.
