Aubren Chirwa
The University of Malawi awarded Aubren C. Chirwa a Master of Science in Environmental Science. At the moment, he is employed by Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources as a researcher. He is involved in the Critical Zone Africa South and East Project, which is supported by a Science for Africa Foundation DELTAS Africa II award. Along with a group of specialists from various backgrounds, he is interested in conducting research on how decision-makers might be assisted by lived experience in the African Anthropocene to enhance peri-urban areas' habitability. Additionally, he wants to get started on creating economically feasible recommendations for environmental governance that prioritize the needs and goals of the local population in terms of their livelihoods, health, and wellbeing. In this sense, he hopes to contribute to the rich histories of African environmental philosophy through research and curriculum assistance.
