Dr Nestory Yamungu

Dr. Nestory Yamungu is a Senior Researcher at the University of Dar es Salaam. He holds PhD in Geography and Environmental Studies from Stellenbosch University in South Africa.  He specializes in regional and land use planning, urban governance and GIS applications. Before joining the University of Dar es Salaam, Dr. Yamungu worked as an urban planning officer with Namtumbo District Council (a local government in the southern part of the Country) where he coordinated environmental management activities, preparation of village land use plans for the establishment of Wildlife Management Areas under collaborative projects between Tanzania and Mozambique. Hi is currently the Head of Department of Geography.
