Queen Linda Chinozvina
Queen Linda Chinozvina, is a town planner. Currently, she is employed by University of Zimbabwe as a Planner in the Department of Engineering Infrastructure and Estates. She is also employed as a part-time lecturer in the Department of Architecture and Real Estate. She holds a Master of Science Degree in Rural and Urban Planning as well as a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Rural and Urban Planning from the University of Zimbabwe. She also holds a Bachelor of Science Special Honours Degree in Monitoring and Evaluation from Lupane State University and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management. She has contributed extensively in the planning profession through research and publications. Her research focuses on exploring the relationship between livelihoods and habitability, with the goal of developing an African environmental management framework. This framework aims to effectively link local livelihoods with the habitable environment within the Critical Zone. The Critical Zone in her research encompasses the Lake Chivero catchment area, which includes the Harare Metropolitan region and Seke Rural area. As an expert in planning, she intends to integrate principles and methods from the field of environmental planning into her study hence creating a holistic framework that can manage the complex relationship between the livelihoods of the local population and the habitable environment within this Critical Zone area.
