Dr Mzwandile Shongwe

Mzwandile is a senior lecturer and convener of the Master of Library and Information Science programme. He teaches Information Architecture and Metadata, Teaching and Learning for LIS Professional and Resource Description and Communication.
Mzwandile holds a PhD in Information Studies from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, a Master of Commerce Degree (Information Systems) from the University of Cape Town and a Bachelor of Arts in Information Science (Honours) from the University of Zululand.
His research interests are in Knowledge Management, Library and Information Science (LIS) education and training and cataloguing and classification.
Mzwandile is actively involved in a number of scholarly activities. He is a Member of the South African Journal of Libraries and Information Sciences (SAJLIS) editorial board and Reviewer for the following scholarly journals:
