Environmental Humanities South (EHS) is excited to host Andru Chiorean who will be giving a seminar, titled "A World Where There Are Many Worlds:” Fragmentation of Civil Society’s Advocacy for a UN Business and Human Rights Treaty".

Over the years, the role of business and the private sector has been discussed, thinking about the function and role of these actors within the wider political economy of human rights. In this seminar, Dr Chiorean will explore the existing treaties with which the aim  is to address the role of business in society. For climate change related challanges, affecting different regions of the world, business and the private sector continue to play a critical role that needs to be grappled with as the global community attempts to resolve the ongoing ecological crisis.
