Liani Maasdorp

Dr Liani Maasdorp is a senior lecturer in the Centre for Film & Media Studies at the University of Cape Town. She convenes the MA: Documentary Arts and the Impact Facilitator online short course. She is one of the co-directors of Climate Story Lab ZA and is a member of the Global Impact Producers’ Alliance (GIPA) and the SA Documentary Filmmakers Association (DFA). She is the academic director of the UCT TV Studio, and serves as a link between the academic and practical film work in CFMS. Her current research and public engagement focus on impact producing.
