Cwenga Koyana
Cwenga Koyana is a creative entrepreneur and an aspiring philanthropist who envisions the enhancement of the South African Entertainment industry and the empowerment of pregnant teens in Africa through the power of education. She is currently studying her postgraduate degree in BA Hons Film and Television Studies at the University of Cape Town (UCT) while already in possession of a BA Theatre and Performing Arts Honours degree from UCT.
She is the Project Manager and a Representative of Talitha Together, that recently won the Dream For Change Projects at the UNESCO and Women@Dior Global Conference in Paris, France. This was part of the Women@Dior Women in Leadership, Education and Sustainability program. Cwenga was as a result awarded as one of UCT’s Inspirational Graduates in March 2022.
Cwenga is an ambassador of various organizations such as End Girl Hate which promotes sisterhood and a community of women who support and inspire each other as well as Value Ed which endorses learning knowledge around personal development skills inspiring better choices to build tomorrow.
Cwenga is the voice of UCT News as part of her work as an intern at the UCT TV Studios. Cwenga is also the Manager of the Value ed Podcasting incubation business which aims to target schools and organizations to use podcasting as an extra mural activity and digital platform to promote communication and public speaking skills amongst the South African youth. She has recently been appointed as the Chairwoman of the Value Ed Ambassadors Board.
