Black Girl Scientist and African STEMinist present "Black women in STEM Webinar: The Pyrrhic journey of Black African women in STEM in South African Universities".

Many Black women in South Africa have mentioned countless obstacles they face and the enormous time and energy that is needed to survive STEM environment that is above and beyond doing STEM—hence the title of Pyrrhic journey. A journey in which the person has endured so much and survived countless battles so although the person has won something (in this case a PhD in STEM) the person has lost more.
