The Department of Social Development held its yearly professional Declaration Ceremony on Thursday the 12th of April 2018.This ceremony marks the moment that the second year Bachelor of Social Work students publicly take an oath committing to ethical and professional practice as they ready to embark on the field practice component of their social work education and training. Present at the ceremony is the Dean of Humanities, the academic staff of the Department of Social Development, colleagues from cognate disciplines such as Psychology and Sociology as well as the family members of the second year Bachelor of Social Work students. All of whom bear witness to the public declaration of the oath.
