Brief Biography:
I graduated with BSocSc Honours in Clinical Social Work in 2008 from UCT. I moved to London after graduating and worked as a social worker for local boroughs firstly in hospitals and later with adolescents in child protection. In 2015 I completed a post graduate certificate in systemic family therapy from Kings College and worked within the child and adolescent mental health service (CAMHS).
In 2018, I returned to South Africa and wanted to further my studies, I enrolled in the masters programme in 2020 and am currently post data collection and aim to complete this year.
I have been working as a school counsellor in junior schools since 2019. I have vast experience and an interest in supporting and counselling children and adolescents as well as parents, families and teachers. Within my role at school, I conduct regular lessons and workshops for learners at around EQ with the hope to teach them effective coping skills to help with their emotional wellbeing.
