Brief Biography:
Sterkspruit, in the Eastern Cape, is where I was born and raised. Despite being my mother's only child, I was raised by my maternal grandparents along with my cousins. Primary school was where I attended. I moved to Cape Town to complete my High School. I moved in with my mother and she looked after me while I finished my matriculation.

I worked as an administrator after my matric to help pay for my social work degree. While I was still employed, I registered at Unisa in 2012 to pursue a degree in social work. Despite the joy of having my first child in 2013, I kept up my career and education. I finished my degree in 2017 and graduated in 2018.

I finished my clinical social work honours programme in substance abuse in 2020 and started working at the Cape Town Association for Physical Disability.

I registered for my master's programme specialising in clinical social work in 2021. I was fortunate to have a second child in July of 2023. At the moment, I work for Social Development in Khayelitsha while pursuing my master's degree.
