Brief Biography:
Coming from a small town called Matatiele in the Eastern Cape, where poverty, lack of education and health greet you in every corner, I always seemed destined to end up in the helping professions. My journey started with my parents desire to educate their children with the belief that education unlocked not only the doors to ones future but also a human being with agency. Having started my studies with architecture, while I was studying I discovered a passion which carved my true future, this being social work. After a degree in social Work from UCT, I am forever challenged and learning about what it takes to heal the human heart. I am currently the Project Manager of the Schools Improvement Initiative UCT and I am passionate about creating holistic therapeutic interventions through fostering partnerships, interdisciplinarity, and collaboration for the wellbeing of youth.
