Josh is a Creative Director, Theatre Director, Set & Lighting Designer and Executive Producer with over 27 years of experience in South Africa, across Africa, the Middle East, and in Europe. Specialising in conceptualising and delivering live, theatrical, interactive, multi-media, and immersive experiences that transport audiences into new dimensions. Known for blending traditional emotive storytelling with innovative digital and live experiences, Josh creates seamless productions that captivate and engage.

His work includes high-profile projects such as “To Life with Love”, “Birdy”, “Cruise”, “The Barber of Seville”, The Promise”. “Neuland Mysterium” (Europe), “This Changes Everything” (large-scale immersive shows), “Battle of the Year Africa” (Nigeria), and “House of Horrors” (immersive walkthrough production). Josh has also been involved in live TV events such as the SAFTAs, SA Sports

Awards, Metro FM Awards, Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed (F1 GP Abu Dhabi) and Airtel Africa. Award-winning productions include “Cruise” (Best Production, Naledi 2023) and “The Promise” (Fleur du Cap & Naledi Theatre Awards for Best Set Design, 2024). He has received numerous nominations, including for Best Director (“Birdy”), Best Set Design (“Birdy”) & Best Production Awards.

Josh aims to challenge the audience’s perspective, moving them from simply viewing something to truly experiencing it. With a deep understanding of the “experiential economy,” he is dedicated to finding the most creative solutions for both production and audience engagement. Josh enjoys time in game reserves, with nature and wildlife, swimming and snorkelling/scuba, hiking, art galleries and the history of art and discovering new ways to use technology and human stories together to create unique live theatrical immersive experiences.
