The South African College of Music (SACM) at the University of Cape Town is committed to giving our students the best possible practical and professional experience towards their future careers.
We look forward to seeing you at our 2026 SACM Concerts this performance season.
The SACM hosts weekly Tuesday evening concerts (and occasionally Friday evenings) at the Baxter Concert Hall that start at 19:00.
Free Lunch Hour Concerts are hosted every Thursday from 13:00–14:00 in the Chisholm Recital Room (C7) at the College.

You can also purchase tickets in person during Box Office hours:
- Monday to Friday, 10:00–19:00
- Saturday, 12:00–19:00
Parking is available in the vicinity of the Baxter and the SACM. There are no fees for parking.

6th David Aldred Memorial Prize for Sopranos
Established in 2021, the David Aldred Memorial Prize for Sopranos honours Aldred’s love of the soprano voice. SACM singers perform programmes including Strauss’s Four Last Songs, accompanied by Prof Jeremy Silver.
