Dr Nicholas Haralambous

Nicholas Haralambous is a South African musicologist and pianist. A graduate of the University of Cape Town and the Royal Northern College of Music, he completed a PhD in Music at the University of Cambridge, where he was a Harding Distinguished Postgraduate Scholar. His research interests include music theory and analysis, aesthetics, Austro-German modernism, and performance studies. His work has appeared in journals including Music & Letters and British Music, and he has presented his research at conferences in the United Kingdom, Belgium, and South Africa. Currently, he is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the South African College of Music, where his work is funded by the Oppenheimer Memorial Trust.
