Angelo Gobbato and Kamal Khan created an absorbing study of power, abuse and integrity that was invited to the Brown University Humanities Institute in America in 2011. This production's first iteration was literally studded with names that have since gone abroad to have major success - Musa Ngunqwana, Thesele Kemane, Filipa van Eck, Nozuko Teto, Hlengiwe Mkhwanazi - posing the question which ones of this season's multiple casts will be starring in this opera in five years in London or New York?
