How will algorithms be coded into Africa’s care infrastructure? What kinds of hospital will we need and what will they look like? In this introductory workshop, we begin reflections on artificial intelligence (AI) and the possible future of hospitals in Africa.

The workshop officially launches the 4IR and ethics of care in Africa programme, a HUMA initiative made possible with funding from the Carnegie Corporation of New York, will be introduced in a workshop held online on 9th March 2021, 16:00–18:00.

Participants – drawn from the HUMA team, the HUMA community and fellow researchers – will introduce and showcase proposed and ongoing research work on AI, health and the ethics of care for discussion. This is also a great opportunity to network and sign up as presenter for future workshops.
