Susan Okeyo
Susan Okeyo is a computer scientist and GIS specialist. She obtained a PhD in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from the University of Nairobi. Susan holds an MSc in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from the University of Nairobi and a BSc. Computer Science from Makerere University in Uganda. Her doctoral thesis titled "Leveraging Geospatial Technology for Improved Smallholder Farmer Credit Scoring using Machine Learning" focused on improving smallholder farmers' chances of accessing credit from financial institutions by introducing non-financial data using geospatial technology. As a doctoral student, Susan was a recipient of the AI4D Africa Scholarship project focused on responsible Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) in African public universities.
