Amanda Manqoyi-Ouamba: Reflections on handling research data and data integrity in research

As a researcher and an academic, being trusted with the delicate and sensitive stories of my research subjects is a privilege that I do not take lightly. My commitment and service are doing justice in the handling and interpretation of these stories. In this talk, I will be reflecting on my journey and struggles in handling and interpreting research data. From sharing such experiences, I hope we can learn and grow from each other’s experiences.
About the speaker: Amanda Manqoyi-Ouamba is a lecturer in the Department of Social Work & Social Development at the University of Cape Town (UCT). She is also a Board Member of the Cape Town Child Welfare Society. Amanda is a PhD candidate in the UCT Department of Social Work & Social Development. Her research interest is managing, preventing, and treating substance abuse and related issues in schools. She is also interested in relationship dynamics and collaborative efforts between various stakeholders within the schooling system.
