First meeting of Consultative Committee

The Consultative Committee of the Institute for Democracy, Citizenship and Public Policy in Africa met for the first time on Thursday August 11. Fifteen of the twenty-seven members were present, as well as four doctoral students in related fields. The group reviewed the purpose of the Institute, it's structure, and it's current and planned activities. Going forward, the Consultative Committee will likely split into a Management Committee (with active project involvement) and an Advisory Board (to provide oversight).
