Student fieldtrip to Botswana
Five Princeton and UCT students completed a nine-day fieldtrip in Botswana, where they were researching whether the (under-) representation of women in policy-making affected the design or implementation of social protection policy. The group met with successful and unsuccessful candidates in parliamentary and district council elections, as well as civil servants. The fieldtrip took in greater Gaborone and remote villages. It was led by Prof Jeremy Seekings.
