Karoline Becker

Karoline Becker is a Visiting Doctoral Research Fellow at HUMA. She is pursuing a PhD in International Development at the University of Oxford. Karoline was a visiting scholar at the AGI/AFS. Her research focuses on conceptions of ‘women's empowerment’ in the context of motherhood in Southern Malawi. She studies if and how intrinsic ideas of empowerment and motherhood of Malawian women are reflected and approached in development practice
