HUMA and LASPAD receive OSF grant to strengthen African scholarly publishing
HUMA, the Institute for Humanities in Africa and LASPAD, Laboratoire d'Analyse des Sociétés et Pouvoirs / Afrique – Diasporas at the University of Gaston Berger Senegal are pleased to announce the award of a grant from the Open Society Foundations to launch a new initiative to strengthen African scholarly publishing AND dissemination starting from January 2021.
Located within HUMA’s Knowledge Activism strategic programme, the exciting project will begin with a year-long African continent-wide study to document the specific interventions required to decolonise African scholarly publishing AND dissemination. The project is led by HUMA’s Divine Fuh AND LASPAD’s Mame-Penda Ba and Rachid Id Yassine.
