The CCA supports undergraduate exposure to primary research and curatorship and runs electives to third year fine art students. In Other Histories the third year's had to choose a place in the Cape Town CBD, plot it on a map and then tell us, using video, it's other (or hidden) history. This required the students, through research, to look at the city differently. Many of the places, which they would usually walk past, or over, or through, without a second thought, were revealed to have a deep, colonial, past.
