Lexicons and labyrinths: iconography of the genome – Fritha Langerman
2003
This project was initiated and commissioned by the HSRC. The exhibition and its accompanying catalogue was concerned with the iconography of the human genome and artists were invited to consider its visual representation. Integrated into displays at the South African Museum, the exhibition also drew attention to the museum’s collection and the ways in which it was categorised. The exhibition included Willem Boshoff, Sandile Zulu, Lien Botha, Malcolm Payne, Alan Alborough, Nkosinathi Khangile and Nadja Daehnke.
