Celebration of Three Psychology Doctorates Represents Four African Nations

The Psychology Department and Humanities Faculty proudly celebrated a significant achievement at the April 2025 graduation ceremony, where the Psychology Department awarded three new PhDs: to Mareli Fischer, Muya Koloko, and Mbuti Kariuki. Highlighting the department’s regional diversity, those gathered to celebrate this achievement—including Dean Shose Kessi, Deputy Dean Leigh Schrieff-Brown, Professor Floretta Boonzaier, and Professor Colin Tredoux—represented four African nations: South Africa, Zambia, Kenya, and Tanzania. Academic excellence and pan-African collaboration in one moment!
