Political Parties in Africa: 2026 online conference (Click to see link for Registration)

The Political Parties in Africa project – co-hosted in the Institute – will be holding its seventh annual online conference on 6^th and 13^th March 2026. At the last conference, in April 2025, fifteen papers were presented over two days by authors from across Africa and the world. 

For the 2026 conference, papers are welcome on any aspect of political party activity on the continent. Early career researchers and doctoral students from Africa are particularly encouraged to apply. To submit a proposal for the conference, please follow this link to a Google Form to complete the requested information by 23 December 2025. The conference is organized by Sarah Lockwood.
