This year Michaelis School of Fine Art is inviting prospective students to attend an open day in their department on the same day as UCT open day. Michaelis Open Day is from 1pm – 3.30pm. Our thinking is that scholars, considering studying a BA in Fine Art, can come to our campus in town after having explored other study options on Upper Campus, without having to make trips to Cape Town on different days. At Michaelis we will start the afternoon at 1pm in the Michaelis Lecture Theatre with a brief welcome followed by a talk ‘Working opportunities after a Fine Art Training’. There will be student led tours of the department every 30 minutes starting at 1pm. Staff will be on available to answer questions from 1-3.30pm. Staff will also be available on Upper Campus for the duration of UCT Open Day.
