Renowned photographer, Rosy Martin will be visiting Michaelis from the 10-12 of November. Martin is an artist, photographer, lecturer and therapist and along with Jo Spence pioneered re-enactment ‘Photo-therapy’. Martin is particularly well known for her interest in the family album and uses ideas around the family and photography as a starting point for her work. She investigates the relationships between photography, memory and identity using self-portraiture, still life and video, to explore issues around gender, sexuality, aging, desire, shame and family. She has exhibited and published widely.

Martin will be giving a seminar and running a master class with a selected group of students, Tierney fellows and alumni on the 11th of November.
