The case study referenced is the performances relating to The Adventures of the Man in Gold, a philosophical tale based on performance art he has been doing since 2010 in collaboration with the Parisian artist Yann Toma.
Prof. Shusterman's major authored books include Thinking Through the Body; Body Consciousness; Surface and Depth; Performing Live; Practicing Philosophy; and Pragmatist Aesthetics (now published in fifteen languages). Prof. Shusterman received his doctorate in philosophy from Oxford and has held academic appointments in France, Germany, Israel, and Japan.
