Doherti Juvet NGUIEBE holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature and Francophone Literature from the University of Paris Nanterre. He is now a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Cape Town where he continues his work, under the supervision of Professor Markus ARNOLD, on The memory of African soldiers of the French colonial army in French-language novels, cinema and comics. This project consists of reconstructing the traces of the almost forgotten past of the sub-Saharan soldiers of the French colonial army, who participated in the world wars as well as the so-called wars of independence; from a scriptural, audiovisual and graphic corpus.

Doherti Juvet NGUIEBE est titulaire d’un doctorat en Littérature comparée et en Littérature francophone de l’Université de Paris Nanterre. Il est désormais chercheur postdoctorat à University of Cape Town où il poursuit ses travaux, sous la supervision du Professeur Markus ARNOLD, sur La mémoire des soldats africains de l’armée coloniale française dans le roman, le cinéma et la bande dessinée francophones. Ce projet consiste à reconstruire les traces du passé presqu’oublié des militaires subsahariens de l’armée coloniale française, qui ont participé aux guerres mondiales ainsi qu’aux guerres dites d’indépendance ; à partir d’un corpus scripturaire, audiovisuel et graphique.
