Institute welcomes new Post Doctoral Fellow, Sishuwa Sishuwa

The Institute welcomed three new Post Doctoral Fellows at the start of 2019, including Dr Sishuwa Sishuwa. Sishuwa is a historian of modern history whose research interests focus on the study of identity politics, elections, populism, political parties, civil society and democratisation in Zambia. He is currently authoring a critical historical biography of Michael Sata that examines the importance of individual leaders in broader processes of political change. Sishuwa also spends part of his time providing critical analysis on the contemporary political events in Zambia in a weekly column for News Diggers newspaper. He received his DPhil in History from the University Oxford.
