Afrobarometer – an indispensable resource for African scholarship and effective policy-making
Over the past 20 years, Afrobarometer has interviewed more than a quarter million ordinary Africans across 37 countries and all regions of the continent. As a result, we can now make a range of important – and sometimes surprising – generalizations about what ordinary Africans think and want. On May 29, Prof E. Gyimah-Boadi gave a special lecture highlighting some of the knowledge and insights generated about Africa and Africans from Afrobarometer surveys to underscore the indispensability of credible survey data to the analysis of African politics and effective policy-making.
