Borders, Security and Globalization

Dr. Assis Malaquias gave the November 22nd Institute lunchtime seminar on Borders, Security and Globalization. This seminar carefully assessed the origins and evolving role of borders in defining groups and understanding societal dynamics –  domestically and internationally. This is especially important in the current stage of globalization where borders, and the units they define, are being challenged by powerful currents.
