Academics rally behind Sishuwa Sishuwa

Dr Sishuwa Sishuwa - a post-doc in the Institute - faces charges of sedition in Zambia for an article he wrote that was republished in South Africa's Mail and Guardian). The University of Zambia (UNZA) has cowardly dissociated itself from Dr Sishuwa, who is a lecturer at UNZA on leave whilst he is a post-doc at UCT. Today, academics from around the world signed an open letter in defence of Dr Sishuwa. The Institute is proud to have Dr Sishuwa as a post-doc and stands firmly behind him.
