Fortune Ngwenya, who currently works for Turfworks and is based at Michaelis, and is soon to be part of UCT staff, has a passion for photography.

Encouraged by Pippa Skotnes, he approached the photography section, to see what opportunities there might be for him to learn more about photography. Thanks to Mike Ormrod, Dominique Edwards and Vanessa Cowling he was able to recently complete the 5 week part time Beginners Digital Photography course at the ORMS Cape Town School of Photography (CTSP). The Photo section loaned him a camera and ORMS sponsored the course, materials and printing. There will be an exhibition which will include Fortune’s work, and other students from CTSP, on 23rd June opening at 18:00 at CTSP, 4th Floor, 62 Roeland St, Cape Town.
