MATERIALS BURSARIES

We are inviting applications from undergraduate students for Materials Bursaries for 2018.

All students who need financial support are encouraged to apply, but we particularly encourage applications from Financial Aid or GAP funded students. Financial need and student performance will also be taken into account when making the awards.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE

  1. Funds for the materials bursaries are limited and the school cannot guarantee that all applications will be successful.
  2. It is important to note that it could take a few weeks before the outcome of the applications will be made, as various applications need to be processed and considered.
  3. You will be notified via email, and will have to send a confirmation of receipt and an indication of how you prefer the funds be transferred to afiefah.rajap@uct.ac.za
  4. Students need to bear in mind that if they do not wish to have the funds transferred to the Art Sauce or ORMS, it is possible, due to the financial process within the Faculty that they might have to wait several months to get paid.
  5. It is in the spirit of the awards that students will contribute to the operations of the School. This would take the form of work in the studios, in the administrative office, assisting staff with exhibitions in the gallery, project demonstrations in the studios or in the computer lab.
