Visit from Sint Lucas Antwerp Karel de Grote Hogeschool

In early March we were privileged to receive Mie De Backer, the head of academic visual arts & professional bachelors photography Sint Lucas Antwerp Karel de Grote Hogeschool, Belgium. De Backer was here thanks to an Erasmus mobility grant, which also allowed Dr George Mahashe of visit St Lucas in Antwerp.

While at Michaelis De Backer was able to meet fellow academics, observe teaching, see research projects and discuss the potential for staff and student exchanges, both virtual and in person. De Backer met with 3^rd year, 4^th year and master’s students, saw some local contemporary South African art and had dialogues with a broad range of staff and students from the school. It was a productive exchange and we look forward to making strong linkages and partnerships with Sint Lucas in the future.
