Peter Clarke Art Centre and Michaelis host workshops for art teachers
Three Michaelis staff presented lectures and workshops at the Peter Clarke Art Centre (PCAC) on Saturday 27th July. The workshops are for art teachers and aimed at presenting ideas that can either be taken back into the classroom, or for the enrichment and enjoyment of the teachers. Michaelis staff share areas of art that they are excited about and engaged with in their own practice. Virginia MacKenny lectured on “Art and the Environment”, Nomusa Makhubu spoke to the topic “Teaching Africa in Art, Making Sense of Social Practice Art” and Sitaara Stodel presented a collage workshop.
The workshops were well received and we plan to continue with more workshops next year.
