Eugene van der Merwe is the Tierney fellow for 2020/21

CONGRATULATIONS

Congratulations to Eugene van der Merwe who has been selected as the Tierney fellow for 2020/21. Eugene is currently registered for an MFA after having completed a Post Graduate Diploma in 2019.

This prestigious mentorship programme is supported by the Tierney Family Foundation. The Tierney Fellowship recognises the importance of creating opportunities for photographers to cultivate the development of photographers and photography as a medium. The Tierney Fellowship creates an ideal space for a photographer to develop a body of work with financial support and mentorship. Partner institutions include the Michaelis School of Fine Art at the University of Cape Town, Market Photo Workshop and WITS School of Arts. Eugene will be mentored by Svea Josephy and Dominique Edwards.
