Passing of Kouoh Koyo (1967-2025)

The Michaelis School of Fine Art would like to acknowledge the passing of Koyo Kouoh (Chief Curator, Zeitz MOCAA) and extend our condolences to all those close to her. Kouoh had multiple professional connections to the School including presenting a Lunchtime Lecture (2015) and Collegian Talk (2019). Most recently, Michaelis Professor Berni Searle completed the Atelier programme, an eight-month residency at the Zeitz MOCAA which strengthened the School’s ties with both the museum and Kouoh, as its head.
