Sustainable Photography conference, Falmouth University

Associate Professor Svea Josephy and Vanessa Cowling attended a conference on Sustainable Photography at Falmouth University, UK in early July. The conference was hosted by The Institute of Photography, the University of Falmouth and The Sustainable Darkroom. The conference brought together the leading figures in this developing field. Participants took part in talks and presentations and workshops. Highlights included a workshop led by Hannah Fletcher and Ed Carr in which participants developed film in lunch leftovers and experiments with soil chromographs. An exhibition was held in the Institute of Photography to accompany the conference. Svea and Vanessa were able to network with colleagues from all over the world and we hope these connections will be beneficial to students in the future.
