FREIGHTED: 500 years of rhinoceros collection and display
Fritha Langerman’s exhibition FREIGHTED: 500 years of rhinoceros collection and display, continued its European perambulations. After its installation at the National Museum of Natural Sciences, Madrid in March last year, it moved to the Natural History Museum, Leipzig, and then to the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences, Brussels. In early September it moved to the University of Antwerp where it will align with research by Dr Ruth Appeltant’s group at the Gamete Research Centre that is focusing on the use of stem cells to reproduce the functionally extinct northern white rhino.
