SCATTER, a solo exhibition by Fritha Langerman

Associate Professor Fritha Langerman recently presented 45 new works at a solo exhibition at the University of Stellenbosch Gallery (GUS). SCATTER takes the associate language of ‘forest’ and ‘clearing’ as its starting point, evoking environmental challenges and consciousness; of places at the edges of exteriority and interiority; as simultaneous places of refuge and physical denial; of conquest and colony; of settlement and distribution. The exhibition of prints and drawings ran between 4 May and 10 June.
