Biography  

Lukhona Mdluli was born and bred in the Eastern Cape, and completed her primary, secondary and tertiary education in Grahamstown. She started her career in university administration, eventually working her way up and occupying the position of faculty officer. 

Prior to joining the Centre for Social Science’s Safety and Violence Initiative as operations manager in February 2023, she worked as a business manager for a not-profit social justice media publication in Johannesburg.  

She is experienced in administration, business and operations management, having gained extensive experience in the higher education and start-up sectors.
 
She is passionate about gender equality, racial equality and SMME development.
 
She holds an MBA, PDEM and B.Soc.Sci from Rhodes University.
